Broker Portal Release
Merry Christmas!
As a special gift to you this year, I’m excited to announce the release of the Sanus Benefits Broker Portal. This portal has been an essential tool for me over the past few years, helping me acquire new groups and prospect for more opportunities. Initially, it was built exclusively for my own use as a broker. It includes everything I need—spreadsheeting, plan information, network searches, carrier contacts, client details, and employee data—and automates much of the process.
I’ll admit, I’m a bit lazy, which is why I designed the portal to handle everything related to benefits. My goal was to set it up once and never have to touch it again. However, I realized marketing it has been a slow process, so I decided to make it available to everyone—free of charge.
Please note that this completely free model is available for a limited time. Eventually, I’ll need to monetize the platform, and there will be a paid service option. While I could have become a General Agent (GA) for brokers, I’ve found that working with carriers without an existing GA book of business has been quite challenging. So, I’ve decided to offer my product for free and give the carriers an ultimatum: sign the GA contract or be removed from the portal. This will happen over time as I continue to perfect the portal, ensuring it meets the needs of brokers like you.
This portal is a game-changer for brokers looking to streamline their business and take their prospecting to the next level. By automating repetitive and time-consuming tasks, your team can focus on what matters most—your clients. As the portal continues to grow and evolve, so will your ability to enhance the client experience.
To get started, simply create an account by verifying your email and setting up your Authenticator App. Once your account is created, you can use the portal to its fullest extent—free of charge for a limited time.
I have many improvements planned for the portal in the coming days, weeks, and years. If you have any ideas or suggestions that could add value, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly at bstevenson@sanusbenefits.com or call me at 832-592-1263. Please, no sales calls. Also, note that not all plans across the country are loaded into the system yet, but they will be added as needed in the coming weeks and months.
Additionally, you are not allowed to give your clients access to the portal unless you are a licensed broker. I will be verifying your license through the TDI website. If you are not licensed, you will only be given basic access to the portal, which allows for spreadsheet creation only.
If you are licesned then you will be able to administer groups on the platform, live chat with groups/employees, give employees access to the portal, and much more.
Yes even client access is avaliable for a limited time. Again certain aspects of this might be an extra cost later on however it will be a sliding price model so it does not put the smaller brokerages at a disadvantage. I have yet to work out the pricing structure yet. I will provide a more firm timeline to pricing toward end of January.
I hope you enjoy the portal and that it helps you as much as it has helped me.
Thanks,
Blake Stevenson
